Project Tutorial: Reusable Oilcloth Lunch Bags

July 13, 2010 by S. Denise Hoyle 1 Comment

School in our area will be starting in 34 days (not that I’m counting, or am tracking it in my calendar or anything 😉 ) and my four year old quadruplets will be entering pre-k so we’re all super excited about the back to school sales and starting to prepare.  My husband suggested the other day that we take the quads’ teacher a relaxation CD and some bath beads when we go to the school for “meet the teacher day” and I thought that was hilarious so we’re definitely going to do it!  Since it’s been on my mind I went searching for something to package the teacher’s gift with and I stumbled across these beautiful reusable oilcloth lunch bags.  I’m planning to make several for the kids in their favorite colors, and a pretty one like these for the teacher.  Check out the full instructions with photos of each step at Skip To My Lou.  If you have any problems finding oilcloth in patterns or colors that you like, check out this article at Curbly on how to make your own oilcloth.
