I’m re-covering my sofa cushions in micro suede. the covers are reversible AND i’ve decided they will look better with piping, so i’ve got 28 yds of piping to make. I found good directions on the net for making continuous bias binding. Hope it works out!

I am trying to find some navy blue wool boucle’ so I can make a suit and I am also looking for a Channel’ jacket pattern. I have searched hi and lo and still no success. So I am starting a red woven material that I have no idea of the frabic context but it is a lovely material and will make a beautiful two piece suit. What’s on your wish list?

I have about 20 things on my projects list right now, among them girls’ dresses, totes, purses, and journal covers. On the very top of the list, though, is a corduroy long-sleeve dress for my little girl.

I let my daughter talk me into making her a dress for her wedding. Today, when she came for 2nd fitting, the dress was too big in the bustline and back. I couldn’t understand how I could have been off that much on measurements. Then, to my surprise she happily announced she had been working out and dieting. Needless to say, even though I was happy for her weight loss success, I could have slung mud at her! Where is that sewing fairy when I need her?

I’m working on a vest for my nephew. I recently finished making a bunch of flannel PJ or lounging pants for family members and myself. The rest of life sure can get in the way of sewing fun.
