The annual Pattern Review Wardrobe Contest is kicking off in high gear! There are ten pieces required to enter so the contestants will be stitching up an entire wardrobe, including four bottoms, five tops and one topper. The topper can be anything with the basic function of covering your tops, such as a cardigan, a jacket or even a poncho.
All of the tops must coordinate with all of the bottoms, and the topper must go with any outfit combination. A minimum of one print fabric must be used, and a dress can be substituted for either a top or a bottom, but it must also go with all of the other pieces.
Contestants must include a wardrobe review and a review of each individual pattern used to create the wardrobe, and all cutting and sewing must be done between September 1, 2009 and November 30, 2009. Contest winners will receive a $175 Fabric.com gift certificate for 1st place and a $125 Fabric.com gift certificate for 2nd place.
Visit the official wardrobe contest discussion page for the official rules, more information or to ask the contest manager a question. If you haven’t already, be sure to bookmark the Pattern Review website while you’re there so you can checkout what other sewers liked or didn’t like about any patterns that you’re considering making.
