Have You Seen A Pillow Case Dress?

July 12, 2009 by Sarah J. Doyle Leave a Comment

To tell you the truth, I’d never heard of a Pillow Case Dress before.  My first thought was a child’s dress made out of an old pillow case — you know – cut out a hole in the top for head, and cut arm openings on each side.  Make a finishing hem in all three cut areas and presto!  A pillow case dress.  (Actually that might be a good tutorial to work on —  give me a few days to ponder that and see what I can come up with).

The REAL pillow case dress tutorial is at  MacyAugustusBlogspot and it’s a beautiful dress – and awesome tutorial.  Check out the beautiful little girl modeling the dress — I’d like to have her too!

These are so easy to make that a beginner sewer could make them.

If you’d like to add a couple of pockets to the dress, check out the free pocket instructions at PatternsThatFitYou.com.  Every little girl needs a couple of pockets to keep her goodies in!
