Jane’s Sew & So, the internationally syndicated sewing television show, has announced their “It’s a Sew & So Summer” video contest on YouTube. The contest, aimed at giving teens and ‘tweens something constructive to do this summer, has a grand prize package that includes a new Brother Innovis-40 Project Runway sewing machine and a Simplicity Bias Tape Maker and Rotary Cutting Machine.
Five additional prizes will be awarded in the following video categories – “Mother Earth” award for best use of recycled materials, the innovation award “Why Didn’t We Think of That”, team award for “All for One and One for All”, “Laughed ‘Til Our Side Seams Split” award for funniest video, and the most emotional video will get the “Three Hanky Prize”.
To enter the contest, simply script, shoot, edit and upload yours (or your kid’s) original video featuring the creation of one of the projects from Jane’s Sew & So first season, or their “Sew and So Summer” webisodes.
Winning videos will be featured on Jane’s Sew and So website and on sponsor websites. Go to SewAndSoSummer.com for official rules and submission instructions. Entries will be accepted until August 24th and winners will be announced on the website on September 2nd.
