Canadian designer Wendy Floyd launched her online business this month and has already sold 50 swimwear sets. Floyd has had a lifelong love of sewing and after making her own business clothes for years, decided to try her hand at sewing a bathing suit because she had major difficulty in finding one that fit.
After working as a marketing manager for 11 years Floyd quit her job to pursue her dream of creating Sisterfloyd Designs, her swimwear label. She says her goal is for women to feel confident in “the most revealing garment you will wear in public”.
Floyd also does custom fitting and measuring in her Victoria studio, but you can find her unique, figure flattering designs at www.sisterfloyd.com. Designs are priced from $39 to $129, and there are 25 swimsuit and coverup designs available from various fabrics.
