Quilting Just For Fun

March 29, 2009 by Sarah J. Doyle Leave a Comment

While there are many of us that do quilting for a business, there are others of us who just do quilting for the fun of it.  Today I’ve picked a couple of quick and easy quilts that can be made for yourselves, for a child or just to tuck away as a memory!

The first quilt is the “memory” one — a great idea for using some of those baby clothes that got stained too much to sell or give away, or perhaps some got snagged.  Instead of throwing them away, make a memory quilt out of them.

The idea and little tutorial is provided by TeaRoseHome at CraftStylish.  Great idea for using the “good” non-stained areas of those baby clothes that would otherwise be tossed or used as dust cloths —- the memory quilt is a MUCH better choice!!

The second quick quilt pattern is the tube quilt that we have at PatternsThatFitYou — the tutorial is there and you can use co-ordinated scraps,or just a hodge-podge of scraps that you have available.

Anyway you look at it, the tube quilt will be nice and fluffy for any bed.
