A home based embroidery business can be an excellent option for people wanting to sew up a little extra income. It’s easier than it may seam 
if you have the right equipment, and there are many benefits.
Make Your Own Hours – Work mornings, evenings, weekends, part-time or full-time, it is completely up to you and your schedule.
Minimal Investment – If you’ve got some embroidery experience and access to a machine, then your start-up expenses will be minor. You’ll need to print up flyers, maybe some business cards, and decide how to best get the word out. Free classifieds like CraigsList and community bulletin boards can get you started.
Unlimited Customers – The possibilities for marketing your services are endless – corporate logo apparel, school sports groups, pet items, weddings, family reunions, personalized gifts, and so on.
All you need is an inexpensive embroidery machine, a good workspace and a few designs. Pat Wolf started out by creating embroidered birthday shirts for her granddaughters. The hobby she started in her television room has since turned into Groovy Granny Designs, the part time embroidery business she now runs from her home.
