Restore Old Slips – Make Them Like New Again

January 18, 2009 by Sarah J. Doyle Leave a Comment

Lingerie, no matter where you buy it, is very expensive.  In addition to being very expensive, half slips and even full slips don’t last long – the elastic stretches, or the lace that wasn’t quite attached properly begins to tear or catches in a shoe heel and rips.  Darn! Another lingerie garment that has to be thrown away and replaced with something new.

WAIT!  Let us show you how you can restore those old, torn or stretched elastic slips.  At PatternsThatFitYou.com we have a lengthy article on how to restore and revitalize those old slips.  You will be surprised at how easy it is to re-make lingerie.

You might want to try your hand at making slips, panties and nightgowns for additional money for your business and a new service  for your customers.  Try one or two for yourself, just to see how easy it is, then offer this new service to your customers.  The lingerie items sew up quickly, so you have very little time invested, therefore the profit potential is much higher.

Don’t know where to get lingerie fabric?  I’ll let you in on a little secret — FaysFabrics has the best selection of lingerie and spandex fabrics anywhere – either online or in brick and mortar stores.  Her prices are excellent!  She also carries foldover elastic, laces and patterns of all types.   Oh, you might want to check out her “value packs” of tricot, spandex and laces — you’ll get trememdous savings by purchasing the value packs!

A business thought:  “Raise the bottom line in 2009” by adding a new service for your customers.  You’ll be glad you did!
