Interview with Caroline Ritzer of Pink Lemonade Bags

July 8, 2008 by S. Denise Hoyle 2 Comments

Caroline Ritzer is a self-taught seamstress who made her first diaper bag after her daughter was born five years ago.  She wanted something out of the ordinary that would look different from those others were carrying.  Ritzer then began making the diaper bags as gifts for friends, then shortly before her son’s first birthday she took a giant leap and gave up her 15 year career in retail sales management in order to give more attention to her family and her new business – Pink Lemonade Bags.  Ritzer started a website at www.pinklemonadebags.com plus she now has stores on eBay, Etsy, WinkElf and eCrater, and she takes custom orders as well.

Ritzer says she loves vibrant colors and experimenting with different fabric combinations and she is currently sewing as much as she possibly can while raising her two children.  She plans to work even more during the day as soon as her son starts kindegarten in two years and to continue with her goal of making “the best quality bags at a competitive price, provide outstanding customer service at all times, and generate income to help provide for my family.”  Check out her gorgeous handmade bags at:

My mom owns one of her bag creations. She loves it and to the extent that she’s wearing that same bag all day everyday! LOL
