How many emails have you gotten lately that lists that particular company’s best selling products? If you subscribe to emails from JoAnn.com, Fabric.com or any of the notion companies, you’ve probably gotten quite a few emails along this line. And, if you’re like me, I like to know what others are buying to see if my “thinking” is along the lines of what’s popular out there.
Have YOU done a similar email to your customers or email list? What works for the large companies would certainly work for you as well. Perhaps your nifty neat kitchen aprons have been all the rage this past Holiday season. What about those placemat and coaster sets everyone is talking about? Or maybe a really cute pillow set that you sell tons of. If you have a website you could make a special page listing your top three / five / ten best sellers and let YOUR viewers know what’s been popular with your customers. I’d be willing to bet that if Nancy’s Notions, Burts Bees and dozens of others that do this on an annual or semi-annual basis are making some extra sales, YOU could do the same thing.
Ok, now I’m going to have to go ahead and mention what the three best selling items have been for us! The top item this past Holiday season has been the coupon clutch (with the economy as it is, it’s no wonder more and more people are electing to use coupons as much as possible)! Next in line, and again has a lot to do with the economy, has been our Sewing Machine Repair As A Home Business, followed by another business manual, Sewing For Full Figure and Plus Size Women As A Home Business.
