Use Promotional Products To Enhance Your Business

Big companies know the value of using promotional products to promote their businesses – you see them everywhere, pens with the name of the latest prescription drug on them, calendars from the local bank, t-shirts displaying the name of the latest website.  Your business, no matter how big or small, can also benefit from using these proven tactics.  The trick is to get the name of your business on something that people will keep and use over and over, so that they are essentially advertising your business for you.

Choose a promotional item that is meaningful to your business, for instance you could give away yardsticks imprinted with your business name, small travel sewing kits, canvas shopping bags, or handy purse size mirrors.  You could also go with the traditional personalized items like imprinted pens, boxes of mints, keychains, letter openers, and t-shirts, or you can create a multi-purpose item like having an annual calendar printed on the back of your business card.

Promotional items make for very effective marketing campaigns because, unlike other advertising mediums, they engage all five of the senses – sight, sound, smell, feel and sometimes taste.  Promotional items are inexpensive and the duration of the item is much longer than a print, television or radio ad.

Hand out your customized promotional items to attract new customers, and to existing customers to increase repeat business.  Studies show that use of promotional products increases name recognition and the opinion of the company, and helps to increase customer loyalty.  Check out some of these resources to get started with your own inexpensive promotional products – VistaPrint, PSPrint, and DesignAShirt.
