Successful Flag Business Started at Kitchen Table

John Lynch was a salesman with an order from Walt Disney World for 200 flags, only problem was that his suppliers couldn’t fill the order in time.   Lynch’s wife Sherry was handy with a sewing machine so they set it up in the kitchen and got busy stitching.  They filled that order and the business has grown tremendously since then, they now manufacture flags ranging from 4 inches by 6 inches to 30 feet by 60 feet with prices that range from 32 cents to $1,700.

The company currently has 15 part and full-time employees and they’ve long since moved from the kitchen to a 6,000 square foot facility.  Now the Lynchs are turning the company over to the next generation, their son Kevin and his wife Maria will take over the operations.  The old sewing machine that was used to fill the original order is still on display in the Flags Unlimited shop.
